The excitement is palpable as we announce the return of our highly anticipated 11th Annual Car Show and 50/50 Raffle, set to take place on Thursday, June 20th, from 4pm to 7pm at the Irish American Home. more Car enthusiasts, families, and neighbors are invited to join us for an evening filled with gleaming engines, and the camaraderie of fellow automotive fans. It's an opportunity to witness an array of remarkable vehicles while coming together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our local veterans. One of the highlights of the event is the chance for car owners to showcase their prized possessions and vie for top honors. The Monaco's will be selecting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners at the car show, each deserving recipient taking home a coveted trophy as recognition of their cars' excellence. But the glitz of the car show is also for a deeper purpose. Monaco Ford is proud to announce that 100% of the proceeds from this event will be generously donated to support local veteran organizations. These include the Veterans of Peter P Monaco Jr Detachment 40, Marine Corps League-MCL, and VFW New Haven Post 1250. It's our small way of giving back to those who have selflessly served our country. Of course, no car show would be complete without delicious food to fuel the festivities. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Giovanni's Brick Oven Pizzeria and the dedicated veteran volunteers for their efforts in preparing mouthwatering fare for this special occasion. From savory slices of pizza to delectable treats, there's something to satisfy every palate. Attendees can also look forward to exciting giveaways from T&J Auto Body and the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series. With Memorial Day here, Monaco Ford stands in solemn remembrance of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. more We’d like to give recognition, as one of our own, Mike Monaco, co-owner, and General Manager of Monaco Ford, is a veteran who served honorably. His dedication to our nation’s ideals and his unwavering commitment to supporting fellow veterans inspire us all. Mike serves as Vice Chairman of the Veteran Service Commission of Glastonbury and was elected Commandant in 2016 of the Peter P. Monaco Jr Detachment, as of 2020 he is now the JR Past Commandant. He is also member of the VFW Post 12150. Mike strategically assisted in growing the Detachment 40 program from almost nonexistent, to 160+ members. He also chairs The Hike to Remember which has successfully raised over $400,000 in the past 8 years. Monaco Ford encourages everyone to take a moment to remember and honor the heroes who have given their lives in service to our country. Whether it's attending a Memorial Day event, visiting a veteran's memorial, or expressing gratitude to a veteran, every gesture of remembrance matters.
