Design
One of the best aspects of the F-150 line is that Ford offers so many possible configurations. There are eight trim levels, each with three choices of cabs and bed sizes. Even the lowest trim level XL models have standard comfort features such as a power lumbar driver’s seat and an Auto Hold feature, which provides relief during long periods of stop-and-go traffic by keeping the pickup in place while you take your foot off the brake.
However, the base models also have a wide variety of options for everything from its driving equipment to technology and safety features. All of the build and feature combinations make it easy to build the truck that best fits your specific needs and preferences.
Performance
A 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine with auto start and stop is standard on the basic Work Truck trim. It delivers a powerful 325 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with an electronic 10-speed automatic transmission and has several selectable drive modes, including Normal, ECO, Sport, Tow/Haul, and Slippery.
Rear-wheel drive is standard, but 4-wheel drive is available. Hill Start Assist and Trailer Sway Control are also standard on this model, and an integrated Trailer Brake Controller is available.
Technology
Even the base model Work Truck has all the latest technology you need to enjoy yourself while driving. You’ll have standard AM/FM stereo and SiriusXM with 360L plus a free one-year trial for Ford’s Connected Navigation and a three-month free trial for the FordPass Connect 5G LTE WiFi hotspot, which allows 10 devices to connect from up to 50 feet away from the vehicle.
The infotainment system has a 12-inch capacitive touchscreen and hands-free Bluetooth connectivity for your phone or other mobile devices. Access Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and stream phone calls or content through the truck’s speakers. You can even conveniently load your contacts into the infotainment system.
Safety
All 2024 F-150 models have a perfect 5-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. They also include:
